Delta College Celebrates Black History Month

San Joaquin Delta College celebrates Black History Month, February 1-24 with each week having a special showcase.
All events are free and open to the public.
There will be several of events going on including film screening, keynote speakers, chicken and waffle scholarship fundraiser, and theater production.

Black History Month events will include presentations to provide an inside look on how we are all connected.
The event is sponsored by Cultural Awareness Program and the African American Employees Council. The events included:

On February 16th AAEC will hold their popular Chicken & Waffle Scholarship Fundraiser at 4:30-6:30 pm in Upper Danner. Tickets are $10

On February 21st there will be a film screening (SELMA) from 6-8 pm in SCMA 161.

February 23rd Fathers & Families presents Schools Not Prisons at 12:30-1:30 pm in the West Forum.

February 24th there will be a theater production The Contribution at 12:30-1:30 pm at the President’s Patio.
