Associated Students of Delta College hosted Mustang Barbecue in the quad on Aug. 30, 2018, with food catered by Fat City, free music, games, prizes and more to welcome all students during Mustang Week.

“This semester we wanted to do something more different since we have a new director for our ASDC. We wanted to bring a little more change to school, welcome the new students, welcome the returning students — just something for the community,” says ASDC Treasurer Guadalupe Mesa.

Students enjoy a quick bite between classes or after classes.

“I like it because it’s fun and I get to interact with more people,” said student Erica Amezcua.

Student Haley Wolfe also found the barbecue enjoyable.

“There’s a lot of people around so it’s pretty cool to interact with everybody and see more people that we don’t usually see,” said Wolfe.
