More than $248,000 worth of scholarships were awarded at the annual San Joaquin Delta College Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Thursday, Aug. 11, in Atherton Auditorium.
Three-hundred eighty-five awards were given to over 200 students, many of them multiple awards.
Scholarships are awarded based on the students’ GPA and financial need.
The amounts ranged from $100-$2,000.
The ceremony recognizes the students’ achievements and the generosity of the contributing parties, whose monetary support makes the ceremony possible.
