Delta College will host internationally known brain surgeon Dr. Alfred Quinones-Hinojosa on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Atherton Auditorium.
Quinones-Hinojosa will speak about his story from being a simple migrant worker to his journey through Delta College and beyond.
“Dr. Q.,” as he is known today, has won many awards and performs approximately 250 brain surgeries a year at John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
His presentation will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
After the presentation Quinones-Hinojosa will be signing copies of his book, which are available for purchase at the event.
