On April 20, the Delta College campus had a follow-up visit from the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) to check Delta’s progress since last year’s visit and find out whether past deficiencies have been dealt with.
During last year’s visit, according to Dr. Craig Hayward, director of planning research and knowledge at Cabrillo College and part of the ACCJC team, the board found two large deficiencies in Delta’s operational efficiency and course objectives.
The ACCJC team will write a report which will then be turned in confidentially to Hart sometime in the next month. Then the report will be sent to the accreditation board, which will publically release the results of the visit during the summer.
