The Oscars took place on Feb. 28.

Many celebrities had the delight of taking home an Oscar, including a very happy Leonardo DiCaprio, who scored his first-ever Oscar.

It’s safe to say we can cross his name off the list of people who have yet to win an Oscar, but totally deserve one.

Johnny Depp is top of that list. Depp was nominated back in 2004, 2005 and 2008 for Best Actor for his roles in “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Finding Neverland” and “Sweeney Todd” respectively, but has yet to obtain one of those coveted gold statues. To one it might seem like a shock. After all, Depp has proven time and time again that he deserves this award.

Tom Cruise is just another person to add to this list.

Although Cruise hasn’t been nominated since 2000, there’s no excuse for him to not get an award. Cruise started his film career in 1981 at 19 when he landed a role in the movie “Endless Love” and has been providing us entertainment since then. The least the Academy could do is give him an Oscar.

Amy Adams was nominated four times for Best Supporting Actress and once for Best Actress in 2014 for her role in the film “American Hustle.” However, with her upcoming roles in “Batman v. Superman,” “Story of Your Life” and “Nocturnal Animals” we can only hope one of these films will land her a nomination and finally an Oscar.

John Travolta is another name on the list. Many of might know him from his role of Danny Zuko from the 1978 film “Grease.” Travolta was nominated in 1978 and 1995 for his roles in “Saturday Night Fever” and “Pulp Fiction” but lost the award to Richard Dreyfuss and Tom Hanks respectively.  Maybe he’ll have better luck in the future.

Bradley Cooper is a shocking addition to the list as well. Cooper starred in many films including “The Hangover” trilogy, “Silver Linings Playbook”, “American Hustle” and “American Sniper” getting nominations for three of those four films. Perhaps his role in the film “Burnt” will finally win him one.

Will Smith. Widely known for his role in “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” was another shocking name on this list. Smith was nominated twice for his roles in “Ali” and “The Pursuit of Happyness.”

There’s a longer list of people who could not be covered on this list. Hopefully in the future these actors and actresses can finally take home one of those golden statues.
