DC and Marvel are well known big rivals in the entertainment industry. And beginning this year, the rivals will be releasing super hero movie after super hero movie.
Many people have their own preference on which side is better and it eventually leads to chaos and long arguments about who has better characters and which one is more dominant.
Starting off with DC with the most popular characters such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Joker, Harley Quinn and the list goes on.
Then off to Marvel with characters like Captain America, Iron man, Hulk, Spiderman, Thor, Black Panther, Punisher, Black Widow and many more.
DC Entertainment and Warner Brothers Inc. have said there will be 11 DC movies coming out 2016-2020 and this year in March was “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and in August will be “Suicide Squad.”
The new movies coming soon include “Aquaman,” “Wonder Woman,” “The Flash,” “Cyborg,” “Batman,” “Shazam,” “Green Lantern Corps,” another Superman film and “The Justice League” part one and two.
Marvel has 10 new movies coming out from 2016-2020.
These include “Captain America: Civil War” in May and “Doctor Strange” in November.
The next few movies coming soon from Marvel will be “Guardians of the Galaxy 2,” “Thor: Ragnarok,” “Black Panther,” “Avengers: Infinity War” parts one and two.
“Ant-Man and the Wasp,” “Spiderman,” “Captain Marvel” and “Inhumans.”
“Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is the one I’m looking most forward to,” said Delta student Angel Carranza.
Then there’s 20th Century Fox owning the rights to a few Marvel characters such as “Deadpool,” “X-Men” and “Fantastic Four.”
For now the only fully confirmed movie from Fox coming out is “X-Men: Apocalypse,” which will debut in this year in May competing with “Captain America: Civil War.”
There hasn’t been any confirmed dates but its official there will “Deadpool 2” movie, “Gambit,” “X-Force” and possibly another X-Men movie since Fox is fixing all their superhero movies in a good order.
It seems a lot of superheroes movies and not many people are going to be able to keep up with each movie especially the new comers and young children that are into this genre of movies.
Also not many people read or aren’t able to read the comics and want to know what the idea or the main focus is on the story or the specific character but instead people just watch the movies.
“I think that for the people that want to get interested in superheroes and not read the comics I think it gives them a different outlook on it and helps them get a better idea about what it is,” said Delta student Ranjeet Clair.
The film industry is going to be gathering a lot of people’s attention this next few years and many people are excited about it and some are just annoyed with the fact that they are pushing superhero movies to the theatres fast and are just trying to make money.
With the amount of superhero movies coming out in the next five years will there be any big blockbuster or will it just be a repetitive cycle making these types of movies over and over again?
“I think that they will be really good movies but as they go they will change up the story line a couple more times just to make it a bit more interesting” said Delta student David Rodriguez.
In the end, both Marvel and DC have a lot in common with very similar characters and groups of superheroes and are listening to fans and hope the superhero community grows over the years.
