Christmas is near and some people are still not sure on what to do. This guide will help you come up with ideas on what to do for Christmas

Secret Santa

You can’t go wrong with a classic secret Santa gift exchange. Exchange some presents with some friends and to make things more fun you can also include a price range of the gift too.

White Elephant Gift Exchange

You can spice up things with your friends by doing the White Elephant Exchange. Everyone brings a present and tries to leave with the best present. It could be even more intense if everyone brings obnoxious gifts. Some good obnoxious ideas for gifts are gloves made out of underwear, a huge box filled with smaller boxes for an even smaller gift, etc.

Baking Gingerbread Houses

Bond more with your friends and/or family and make gingerbread houses. Take a photo of the houses and eat them too. Instead of decorating a gingerbread house like how it usually looks, you can decorate your gingerbread house by putting different types of sweets that you think represent yourself.

Bonfire

Start a small fire and get in a circle with your friends and family. Have some drinks, eat some food, make some s’mores, live, laugh, love. You can also just catch up with your homies. Make sure you’re careful when turning on a fire and make sure the fire isn’t indoors or near anything that can be hazardous like dry plants, gasoline, etc.

Posada

You can always try something different for Christmas. There is a Hispanic tradition called a posada. A posada is a celebration that honors the birth of Baby Jesus. This celebration goes on for nine days and each day it represents a value. These values are humility, strength, detachment, charity, trust, justice, purity, joy and generosity. A posada leans more into the religious side but the people that celebrate it also do posadas to have fun with others. It is also a great idea for a family if they want to try something different. P.S. if you do go to an event like this, make sure you are vaccinated and/or wearing a mask to stay safe.

Pajama Day

It is winter time and it is obviously cold. Spend Christmas with family or friends in pajamas at home, more preferably onesies and watch a movie or do anything else

Christmas Party

It isn’t the best idea to have a Christmas party during these times but it can definitely work with some regulations. Invite some friends, family, etc and have a limit of guests and try to have a good time still. Have some foods, drinks , snacks, gifts, etc and it is possible to have a party on Christmas Eve and do a countdown to Christmas Day or you can not do that and just make a party on Christmas day.
