A group of goats from the Manteca Farm visited the Stockton campus during the last week of November. While it may be an odd sight for visitors along Burke Bradley Drive, the goats were visiting to graze on California native plants, which helps “prune, control weeds, and improve soil quality,” according to a campuswide email sent by Tina Candelo-Mize, professor of horticulture and plant science. The goats were surrounded by an electric fence to keep them inside the area.
