
Associated Students of Delta College (ASDC) elections are approaching with polls open May 6-7. Of the 10 officers running in the election, four are incumbents in other positions.

- Senator for Legislative Affairs Danielle Bush is re-running for her current position

Candidates follow strict rules for elections outlined in the ASDC Election Code bylaws.
There are four main requirements to be a candidate. Candidates must attend one candidate orientation meeting, and may not run for more than two positions. If you were an ASDC officer and got impeached, you may not run again. Candidates must be enrolled in six or more units at Delta College and maintain a 2.5 grade-point average for their tenure on the board.
Candidates may campaign on campus however, but may not campaign until the Director of Student Activities provides notice to them. Candidates are in charge of running and managing their campaigns.
According to ASDC election code campaign materials include five posters of a maximum size of three feet by two feet and unlimited fliers of any size up to a maximum size of 11 by 7 inches, as well as any digital items are considered campaign materials including, exchange of emails, mass webpages, social networking sites, personal web pages, advertisements on web pages, compact discs, digital video discs, short message service and multimedia message service.
According to the ASDC election code, polls must be open for a minimum of six hours. The polls for the 2025-2026 school year will be open from Tuesday, May 6 until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7. Ballots will be sent electronically through student’s Delta College email address.
Results of the election will be posted on May 10, with all campaign materials being removed by May 14.
