On May 2, Delta College Career Technical Education(CTE) held its CTE Certificate Ceremony. The event is not a graduation but instead a “special ceremony.” The event started with Dean of Arts Humanities and Multimedia Jeff Toney introducing President of the Board of Trustees Janet Rivera, and trustees Dr. Charles Jennings and Shelly Swanson. Then Trustee Rivera and President Superintendent Dr. Lisa Aguilera Lawrenson spoke, advising the graduates to “never stop learning.” After which student speaker Sarah Maimone spoke about her experience as a Delta College student and an intern for Fierce Mustang Media. Certificates were handed out by Trustees Rivera, Jennings and Swanson, with President Lawrenson. At the ceremony, 508 graduates were honored and received 678 certificates.
