Campus remains closed, expected to reopen Tuesday, Feb. 24
Delta College is expected to reopen on Tuesday, Feb. 24, following HVAC repairs that caused campus closures through Monday, Feb. 23.
“Crews are still working to repair a leak to an underground heating pipe,” said an email sent to students today at 3 p.m.
The email also included a list of programs that were not affected by the closure; those programs were POST academy, All athletics events and The Child Development Center.
The Child development center (CDC) is not included in closures because it is heated independently from the rest of campus.
“What the CDC has are good rooftop systems that are independent of the central plant loop.” said Alex Brietler, director of marketing and communications. “So, they control their own HVAC, basically.”
Delta College has communicated campus closures to staff and faculty through email communications since the closures began on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 5 p.m. Students have been informed through email, social media posts, and Mustang Alerts.
