Could Trump’s reign of terror finally end by Impeachment?

Since his inauguration on Jan. 20, 2025, President Donald J. Trump has been busy simply not doing his due diligence in making America at least a decent enough country to live in.

Under Trump’s second administration so far, there have been government shutdowns, school shootings, the kidnapping of Venezuela’s president and shootings that happened in Minneapolis, including the killing of Alex Pretti, who was protesting alongside many against Trump’s administration’s aggressive immigration enforcement.

Everything that Trump’s doing isn’t for the safety of the people — he’s trying to make America into more of a war zone.

We’re only one month into 2026 and every day something seems to always happen, especially so far in Minneapolis, where a lot of innocent lives have been ended by ICE and CBP agents.

And since the November midterms are there’s a likely chance that if the Democrats take Congress, Trump has a high chance of being impeached.

I believe that’s the case because the Democratic wave shifted increasingly from dominating in Prop. 50, which was to either redraw Califiornia’s current districts and that would favor Democrats, and eliminate some GOP House seats.

Now that Prop. 50 passed, that affects Trump because if this year Democrats win a majority of the House, it would give them more power and a better chance at impeaching Trump.

On Jan. 6, Trump spoke during a House GOP retreat, explaining why this upcoming election is do-or-die for him.

“We’ve got to win the midterms because if we don’t win the midterms, it’s just gonna be I mean, they’ll find a reason to impeach me, I”ll get impeached. We don’t impeach them, you know why? They’re meaner than we are,” said Trump.

Delta student Mari Janvier spoke about whether Trump might actually get impeached if the Democrats win.

“I believe that he possibly could be impeached because he’s been breaking a lot of international laws and obviously has broken the rules of the Constitution on multiple occasions,” said Janvier.

As of Feb. 3, CBS reported that Trump has called for Republicans to “nationalize election voting.”

CBS News Correspondent Natalie Brand explained that the actions that Trump is demanding are unconstitutional.

“No, the Constitution says that election procedures should be decided by states, state legislators, and at times, Congress can alter the rules but not the president and these latest comments are adding concerns by critics that the administration aims to get involved in elections ahead of the 2026 midterms,” said Brand.

Even as an American lately, I have been feeling very hateful towards America and I hope that I’m not the only one who feels that way sometimes.

Living in this country has now come at a cost that includes people who are low class. Currently, having Trump as president has been very terrifying, but hopefully by November, Trump will be impeached and removed from the power that never belonged to him.
